standard calibration strip for the Photoshop "Transfer" function under page
setup. It generates all the control points for the transfer curve (0%, 5%,
10% up to 100%) , with each block 1/4 inch, and the ability to scale the
entire strip. The calibration strip is generated as a portrait, but it can
be rotated as needed. This can be used to calibrate and verify highlight
dots and to verify that the shadow dots are not plugged. The 50% point
allows the checking of the dot gain of the system. This is freeware program

 CatoSeven Tails - This is a utility of the 'one dumb job' variety. It does
one job, and does it fast and with minimal hoorah. Cat o’ Seven Tails is
SYSTEM 7 ONLY. Its only interface is Drag and Drop, so you cannot use it
with earlier Systems. If you double-click on it from a System 6 machine,
you will get an error message and the software will quit gracefully. To use
Cat o’ Seven Tails _with_ System 7, simply select the files you want to
concatenate and drag them on the program's icon or an alias of it. A new
file called "Concatenated files…" will be created, and your original source
files will remain unaltered.

users to change the case of characters in text boxes to either uppercase or
lowercase by choosing the appropriate menu item from the Utilities menu.

characters - and choosing the "Change To Uppercase" menu item from the
Utilities menu will change all of the selected characters to their
uppercase equivalents. The "Change To Lowercase" option works in the same

for 24bit RGB images and a CLUT for 8bit index color images. Simply load
these files under the arbitary map controls or the color table controls,
respectively. Of course these files don't really turn a normal image into a
IR image, I don't know if there really is a way to do this, but the image
will have the feel of a IR picture. These files will give you a image made
up completly of shades of red. If you want your end result to be a black
and white photo, simply convert it to grayscale after applying one of these
'maps.'

accessory, SmartQuotes. It's function is identical to SmartQuotes. When
active the INIT replaces neutral double quotes (") with quote pairs (“”)
and neutral single quotes (') with apostrophes (’).  The substitution can
be turned on and off by typing the command-shift-key combination of your
choice. The major difference between this INIT and the SmartQuotes DA is
that the INIT is global. Once invoked it is active in all applications

feeds. I have found that most programs that remove line feeds have a
tendency to screw up. Therefore, I wrote my own. Also, most programs just
don’t know how to deal with Unix line feeds, but this one does. In version
2.0 I added the new feature of restoring line feeds. Since I was using PCs
at the time, I really needed to move both ways. To add line feeds to a file
you simply have to hold down the option key during launch. As an added
feature, you may add Unix style line feeds by holding down the control key
instead.

 The Zapper corrects some problems found in QuarkXPress after the program
shipped. The extension is easy to use. Place it in your QuarkXPress folder
on the same level with the program and launch QuarkXPress. You need to do
this only once. You can then remove the extension from the QuarkXPress
folder. Even if you have already obtained a Zapper extension from Quark
Support Services or via a network, you should run this  Zapper again. This
version contains a few new fixes. Running it again will in no way damage an
already-zapped program. The Zapper corrects the following problems:
Certain pixel-based PICTs, Bitmaps contained in rotated PICTs sometimes did
